چکیده
In 1his ~·we develop a simple, closed fonn approximation for the Laplace uansf orm solution for the case of a well with a finite eond~tivity vertical fracture in an infmite-acting reservoir. Our hf~nd sol~tion ls b~ on !l coupling of the solution for a uilincar finite conductiVlty vc11icll fraclUIC model (which docs not model radial flow) and the solution for a unif onn flux/inf mite conductivity vertical fractwc (which does model pseudoradial tlow). 'lbesc solu1ions are readily oblained from the literature. Overall. we consider our solution to be valid for CJD~.S and we show that our solution gives leas than 1 pcICCnt error in both PD an~fD' for CJQ>2. We suggest that our hybrid solution is not vali for CJD<.O.S and do not recommend its use for CJD,jKLJlsl,yD=O) = §ii[err( ..!::!IL}+ erf ( ~ }~ 2 21tLID 2'/tUD ~ l-%D E ( (l-x0 ) 2 ) l+xp E ( (l+x0 ) 2 ) (l) +4 14, +4 14, .... Pressure Transient Behavior of a Finite Conductivity Fracture in Infinite-Acting and Bounded Reservoirs
This papar pre8ente analytic solutions of the pre$sure trafwlent behavior of a well intarsaotad by a finite-conductivity fracture in an infinite-acting, or in cyfindric%lly or rectangularly Lmundsd finite reservoirs. Thsse solutions includa the practicat effects of reservoir psrmeabili~ anisotropy and dual porosity behavior. These solutions are analytic, and thus do not require dfscretization i...
متن کاملPerformance of Longitudinally Fractured Horizontal Wells in High-Permeability Anisotropic Formations
This work studies the combined behavior of (1) horizontal wells, and (2) high-permeability fracturing. Fractured vertical WCIIS in high-permeability formations always yield finite conductivity fractures which in turn can reduce the benefits of the stimulation. It has been proposed recently that a fracture along a horizontal WC1lposes far smaller pressure drops than those of the fracture interse...
متن کاملConstant-Rate Drawdown Solutions Derived for Multiple Arbitrarily Oriented Uniform-Flux, Infinite-Conductivity, or Finite-Conductivity Fractures in an Infinite-Slab Reservoir
A new analytical pressure transient solution (constant rate) for a well containing multiple arbitrarily-oriented uniform-flux, infinite-conductivity, or finite-conductivity fractures in an infinite-slab reservoir is presented. The multiple-fracture solution is derived using a new uniform-flux solution for a single arbitrarily-oriented fracture in an anisotropic reservoir. The variables in this ...

This paper presents new type curves for analyzingslug tests in hydraulically fractured coal seams. The type curves were viable producers, Therefore, these conventional slug test analysis developed using a finite-conductivity,vertical fracture model and techniques cannot be used to either assess the success of the fracturetreatmentor to evaluatethe px.t-fracture potentialof these are presented i...
متن کاملThe Effects of Forming Parameters on the Single Point Incremental Forming of 1050 Aluminum Alloy Sheet
The single point incremental forming (SPIF) is one of the dieless forming processes which is widely used in the sheet metal forming. The correct selection of the SPIF parameters influences the formability and quality of the product. In the present study, the Gurson-Tvergaard Needleman (GTN) damage model was used for the fracture prediction in the numerical simulation of the SPIF process of alum...
